Our soil sprouts are grown in certified organic soil and are grown in shallow trays in our greenhouse. They are grown for 2 to 3 weeks and then harvested, washed, and packaged for market.
Soil sprouts are delicious raw and each has its own distinctive taste. Pea shoots can also be cooked. Sprouting releases the energy contained within the seed and makes it available for digestion. The plants are harvested young to maximize the nutrients available per sprout and keep the shoots tender. Each sprout is different, however each contains a multitude of vitamins and minerals. One sprout can contain more nutrients than the entire mature plant!
