Chickweed has a slightly nutty flavour and tastes somewhat like spinach. It is great added to salad or with a quick steam and used as a side dish or added last minute to pasta dishes. Chickweed also has a high water content and can be juiced.
Chickweed is high in fibre and protein and is a great source of iron. It has been attributed with preventing some types of cancer and treating nasal congestion and asthma.
